On November 12, the Consumer Bankruptcy Association in conjunction with the American Bankruptcy Institute will host the Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference at the Somerset Inn in Troy. The programming is excellent and includes new topics such as marijuana assets in bankruptcy (likely to become a major issue with the push at the State level to expand medical marijuana and to legalize recreational marijuana); the impact of race in bankruptcy proceedings; credit reporting; and the role of the Chapter 13 Trustee. There also are panels on the latest in student loans; bankruptcy appeals; Section 523 actions; and, of course, the case law update including summaries of more than 10,000 cases fully indexed and searchable, led by the Honorable James Boyd.
The full schedule and registration information can be found at ABI.Org.
We look forward to seeing you there.
